On Thanksgiving Day the kids went to school till 2:40, Chad worked and I cooked. We went to a friends house in the afternoon. I cooked the Turkey, a pecan pie, green beans and mashed potatoes. My pie was runny (I still don't know why), the Turkey was not done all the way through and just before we were going to carve it, Ashton threw up in our friend's kitchen. With all this, Thanksgiving was actually still a good time. We enjoyed being with our friends and there was edible food, even some parts of the turkey. Later that night Chad had friends over and they watched some football, I am not sure who, but someone won and it was great!
Ashton didn't go to school the next day and it took her the weekend to get over her thing, but she was better by Monday. Everyone but Justin had some version of a cold, he managed to be fine throughout, but everyone is fine now.
The day after Thanksgiving we put up our Christmas decorations. Justin loves all the lights. I am not sure Chad appreciates them. He is always walking through the house turning off lights and saying "why are there so many lights on?" I can see Glen doing something like this. Well, that is what happens when it gets dark at 5:00 PM and sometimes earlier because of the constant cloud cover.
