MORE SNOW!!!!

You have seen from previous posts that it snowed a couple of weeks ago. This snow actually happened during a planned school break.

• The kids were out from January 9 - 29 on winter break.

• On Monday, January 23rd it started to snow.

• On Tuesday it snowed some more and it was predicted to snow the rest of the week, SO, some "bright" person decided that since it was to snow all week they should ON TUESDAY OF THE WEEK BEFORE go a head and cancel school for the following week. This cancellation of school resulted in them adding an additional week to the end of the school year.
• Last week, the week that was cancelled, it was mostly sunny and fairly warm. Most of the snow melted, except for the big piles of snow. During the middle of last week it was predicted to snow this week.

• This brings us to today. This morning, when I got up at 5:30 with the baby, it was raining. I thought it will not snow; it is only going to rain. When Justin got up at 7:00 I looked out the window and there was snow on the ground. Since then it has gotten much worse. Much more than, say, the TUESDAY before last! So, are they going to cancel school today? NO, not in Istanbul. They have for cities to the North. They are waiting to see if it gets worse and make a decision after lunch. Although, I think we have decided to keep Ashton home.
